December holiday crash courses kick off

One-week intensive courses start Saturday 5 December 2026: morning blocks, small groups, and a level checkpoint on Friday.

Kendahouse, 4th Floor, Nairobi

December is the one month when a lot of people suddenly have time. The holiday crash courses use it: five-day intensives that start on Saturday 5 December, morning blocks to 13:00, one language per week through the festive season.

Who it is for

School and university students home for the holidays, professionals on leave, and anyone who wants to jump a half-level before the January intake rather than wait for it. Each week is self-contained: finish one, take December off, come back for another.

The weeks

  • Week 1 (from 5 December): French and Spanish, A1 and A2 blocks.
  • Week 2 (from 12 December): German and Japanese, A1 blocks plus a JLPT N5 revision track for candidates who sat the December sitting and want the re-sit material early.
  • Week 3 (from 19 December): Kiswahili and English, practical conversation blocks. The week runs short because of the holidays; daily sessions are longer to compensate.
  • Week 4: paused for the Christmas period. Normal timetables resume with the January intake.

Daily rhythm: 09:00 to 13:00 with a fifteen-minute break, four guided hours that would otherwise fill two weeks of evenings. Groups cap at twelve. Friday finishes with a checkpoint conversation, informal, recorded only if you ask, and reviewed with you before you leave.

Practicalities

Kendahouse, 4th Floor, Nairobi. Crash courses run on campus; the same blocks stream online through the LMS for candidates who cannot reach campus each morning. Bring a notebook; textbooks are lent for the week.

Intensive courses fill ahead of time: the French A1 block usually goes first. Tell admissions which week and language you want through the contact page, and we will confirm your place and the start date.
