KIFLAPS HISTORY

Foundation and Early Years

The Kenya Institute of Foreign Languages And Professional Studies (KIFLAPS) was established in 2005 by Dr. Hassan Kinyua, our Managing Director, with the official registration in 2007. Initially situated in a single room within the Caxton House (Nairobi), KIFLAPS commenced its educational journey by offering Arabic language and Islamic Studies courses.

Addressing Educational Gaps

Dr. Hassan Kinyua identified the challenges faced by Kenyans in accessing quality Arabic language education, often requiring travel to countries like Sudan. Determined to provide accessible language education, KIFLAPS was born. The institution’s inaugural branch instantly garnered attention and enrollment due to its commitment to bringing Arabic language education closer to the Kenyan populace.
