
The Accounting Technicians Diploma course at Kenya Institute of Foreign Languages and Professional Studies (KIFLAPS) is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to work in the accounting and finance field. The course is examined by the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB), which ensures that graduates are highly competent and ready to take on various roles in the industry. The course is broken down into several modules, each focusing on specific topics such as financial accounting, cost accounting, taxation, and auditing. Graduates of the course are equipped to work in various roles such as accounting assistants, tax assistants, and payroll assistants in both private and public sectors.
Course Overview
The Accounting Technician Diploma qualification equips candidates with skills and competencies to work as middle level accountants providing technical support in Accounting , Auditing and Taxation in both the public and private sectors. ATD comprises of three (3) levels with four (4) papers each level making a total of twelve (12) papers, as summanizied below.

Entry Qualifications
A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the diploma examinations must show evidence of being a holder of any of the following minimum qualifications;
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C- (C minus) or equivalent qualifications.
2. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGSE) examination grade D.
3. Any other kasnec techinician or diploma examination certificate.
